A Trip to See My Partner
I finally got to fly out to see my partner after several months apart! They were so sweet and got us a hotel in a cute part of town so we could relax and walk down some quiet streets and eat wonderful food~ (of course most of the pictures I took are of food!)
But first! My airplane snacks. Of course, I always have to get tomato juice~
The first meal we had together was at a biscuit place with a coffee bar. I got a Korean chicken inspired biscuit. Sorry it's a little messy; I couldn't help but dig in!
The hotel we stayed at was a historical one, and it was nearby a stream that looked really pretty in the cold weather.
There was a cute cafe full of plants and artwork, and I had a very tasty bagel there!
We got to go to the Olympic Training Center and see several of the training areas and watch some athletes from afar. I'm not a sports guy, but it was really really neat~
There are a lot of bagels in my life... but this one was especially good! I could eat lox everyday, I think.
At the same place, which was a cafe near the dinosaur museum, they made homemade poptarts! I got this key lime one, and my partner got raspberry cheesecake.
One of the reasons for the trip was to celebrate my partner's Master's Degree, and we met up with family and friends at a school that was converted into a food hall. I got this massive salad with lots of pickled things, which I love!
This might be the fanciest avocado toast I've ever had... and in bed, no less!
And for that same breakfast my partner got eggs benedict. They were very well balanced and the ham was lovely~
On our last night there we ordered dessert to the room and my partner got tiramisu...
And I got this wonderful chocolate cake! I love tart raspberry that cuts through the richness of chocolate.
It was a wonderful trip, and too short, but hopefully it'll be the last time we have to part ways before they move out here!
